Personal Chef & Coocking Classes

Personal Chef

As a personal chef, I work with my clients to establish how I can best serve them. I love to tailor my cooking to each individual clients needs. All it takes is a few short minutes for me to understand your needs and tastes! As my client you will select either a weekly or bi-weekly commitment.

After a free, initial visit you will be asked to provide a credit card for grocery use. I charge $50 an hour plus local sales tax, I bill for any time spent on writing the grocery list, menu development, grocery shopping (I start my time when I get to the grocery store and stop it when I finish at your house), cooking and cleaning up. Grocery list/shopping usually takes around 30 minutes, each meal takes around 30 minutes and clean up is around 30 minutes. On average, you can expect four meals to take a total of three hours.

As a client you would get a Google Docs account to submit your menu (a menu is provided for inspiration, but I am not limited to those items). I will write the grocery list on Google Docs, you will have an opportunity to remark anything you have on hand, then I do the grocery shopping and cooking. This is also where you can leave feedback on each week’s meals. I appreciate an open communication relationship with my clients!

If you do not like cooking, do not enjoy the clean-up, find yourself out of inspiration, don’t know how to cook, lack creativity or motivation, want some healthier options, need more time with your family and less in the kitchen or just simply don’t want to cook, contact me and let me help you get back the time to do the things you actually want to do!

The second type of cooking class would be a one-time class with 1 to 20 participants, depending on the location. I often book these as a date night, lady’s night or even a fun, interactive holiday party. The cost would depend on the menu you pick and the number of participants. This service is provided in-home, however, if you have a large group, a commercial kitchen is a possibility. You can pick one dish or a multi-course dinner. You may include dessert and have your participants sit down to eat what they have prepared for a social gathering!

Cooking Classes

I offer two kinds of cooking classes. The first cooking class requires a weekly or bi-weekly commitment, the same as personal chef services. It is $50 per hour plus local sales tax. You would also provide a credit card for groceries. I work with you closely to determine what skills you want to learn! Some of the skills I would teach are knife skills, different cooking techniques, cooking safety, how to pair flavors, how to pick produce and meats, how to source locally and seasonally, how to cook for a special diet and many other things.
